I never understood why they didn't count the GMC and Chevy pickups as one. However, when you think about it, they had no choice.

Mazda shared vehicles with Ford. GM and Toyota shared the now Tesla Fremont, CA plant, making the Geo Prizm / Toyota Corolla / Pontiac Vibe / Toyota Matrix.

Ford made the Escape and Mazda Tribute in Louisville.

These are just cars made by different companies in the same place. That doesn't even take into account the duplication under one roof.
