Phone call to Speedway.

I just got off the phone with Kurt Larson, Operations Manager of the Speedway.

8-10 people are there today from BAAT. They are going to run a bunch of laps to make adjustments and to ensure no problems arise on Tuesday.

He did not know whoe the guests, if any, were.

He said that BAAT has run the engine on a dyno at various speeds and they are confident of 100 mpg. It appears that they are doing a self evaluation/ confirmation today on track conditions. He expects them to run for 3 hours or more and do many, many laps.

The last test was not at 40mph as previously reported. It was stop and go and the speed varied between 40 to 60 mph, despite the oil leak. he said it appeared to be more like city driving as opposed to merely cruising.

All TV station affiliates were there before and expects them again. Each station ran a 2 min. clip last time.

he has been told that the technology is a breathing apparatus of some sort and not a major change to engine itself.

He works for Detroit diesel (owner of the track) and knows that his company is interested. He also stated that even a fractional increase in mileage for Detroit diesel means a better selling engine.

He also stated that someone from Chicago- Bloomberg or something called and spoke with BAAT for 45 minutes yesterday. He said he did not know enough about it for it to make sense to him. He is not an investor, he operates the speedway.

He has received some calls and was curious what the interest was. I tried to fill him in as I could.

His number is (909) 429-5000

I liked what I heard.
