People living in Moscow in the 70’s could listen to the BBC, VOA, etc. Even their domestic papers were quite informative - for those skillful at reading between the lines. Like, for example, now - if the propaganda media makes it sound like the life on Earth is coming to an end - and yet, you can’t find any info about the severity of the new strain - this means it’s the same as the old strains. Absence of info can itself be reliable info… lol
