Did I ever tell you about Wrigley Field, how we got a call at three pm to head over there, they weren't going to allow the Cubs to play the next day. Worked until about 3am hanging nets, Cubs played the next day. Couple of interesting things happened that evening. Patton Scaffold took care of the sky box side, we had the concourse and ramps.

I ended up staying there for about two years, in the off season we brought in a larger crew, that was kind of boring and cold, too much supervision in my job, not enough actual work. During the season there were three of us doing miscellaneous this and that all over the place. Welding 100 year old steel right on the edge of rust, keeps you thinking. When the cubs were in town we went other places, packed the machines and whatnot in the room they reserved for press on the off chance the team made the playoffs. Just a concrete bunker most of the time, the one year it was possible and they brought in carpenters and whatnot but they fell short and took it all back down. Interesting old rust bucket, out in the rain.

Don't know what prompted me to share that.
Getting old I suppose.

Edit: Meant as reply to Ski. Probably could make a crack about talking to myself again but I'm too tired to try for it.
