Definitely, I agree, maybe the Aborigines were actually completely native to Australia from the beginning...

Australia is an isolated island, so there may have been some migration from somewhere else by boat to Australia and then being so isolated for so long that evolutionary changes occurred much like what we seen today with the wildlife in Madagascar...
