CoViD killed overwhelmingly old and sick people. So, mortality curve spiked for a while, but later actually dipped. Returned to the old trajectory, as if nothing happened.

As for the flu season that didn’t happen - that’s a mystery. Maybe people with the flu didn’t get tested out of fear they may have covid? After all, CDC estimates are that 146.6 million Americans had CoViD. Only 1 in 4 cases were diagnosed.
