Unfortunately it's in their culture now and since there are few if any consequences, I see the FBI 35K employees just getting worse. Maybe we should 'mandate' they take (and pass) a constitutional class that discusses what our constitutional rights are, States Laws vs Federal Laws and hold them to the 'Oath' they swore on the first day at the FBI Academy. It started under Bummer in all facets of government. A tenant of management is that is that if someone refuses to do something, there are 10 people ready and able to fill that task. To some people oaths are meaningless especially when the leadership disavows them in action. A lot of the good ones just quit and some were replaced. It doesn't take too long to overwhelm the system with your sycophants. It can be reversed but your have to purge a lot. You can start with the oath they swore and show that many violated their oath. The "just obeying orders" plea was thrown out in Nuremberg.
