Anytime you cut costs it is good for shareholders. The real question remains will it be enough? They have written off assets making their debt to asset ratios weaker. It is usually a sign of bad management when a drastic step has to be taken after bad news (didn't they see this coming?). Pressures are still going to intensify on their different businesses. I heard over lunch today that approximately 60% of multi dwelling units in Coquitlam BC have had their cable rates reduces to keep other providers out of the buildings. Think what will happen if this continues as it undoubtedly will. I still think there is more bad news to come.
