I didn't hear a single singable song- or even a single good song. Was pretty "Emperor's New Close"-ish. Surely there are black stories we can tell. We don't need to do the founding fathers blackish, do we? It's embarrassing- especially since so many of them owned people of color. It would be better to have black voices and faces giving life to black history- although maybe this country is so racist and pathetic people won't go see that. I don't know. I find Frederick Douglas amazing. Would love a musical based on his life.
