I think the amazing thing is that the world hasn't showcased the potential for climate catastrophe by solar related events previously. The historical record, both in rocks and human lore, is clear that things have happened before. Shows you how effective the AGW propaganda campaigns by industry, politicians and the news media has been to drown out all other potential climate change possibilities. No one talks about meteors anymore, just that global warming caused by evil fossil fuels is going to kill us all shortly.
