Pressure Persists

Dow -210.33 at 34429.46, Nasdaq -300.53 at 15080.81, S&P -47.92 at 4529.18

The stock market has faced some additional selling with the S&P 500
widening its loss to 1.1% while the Nasdaq (-2.0%) has remained at the forefront of the retreat.

Today's selling has pressured the S&P 500 toward yesterday's low while the Nasdaq
has slipped to its lowest level in nearly two weeks.

The two indices are down 1.4% and 2.5% for the week, respectively.

The consumer staples sector (+0.5%) is the only group that remains in positive territory,
trading near its starting level.

On the downside, four sectors are now down 1.0% or more with technology
(-1.7%) remaining at the bottom of the leader board.

Treasuries have rallied off their lows with the 10-yr yield now down
three basis points at 1.42% with yesterday's low (1.409%) looming just below.
