As I understand it, Currie's lawyer wouldn't have been allowed to witness her deposition to Starr and the grand jury. Who knows how accurate the leaks are? The NY Times seems to feel sure enough about the story to print it on their front page and to give it their imprimatur. Currie is being put in a tough position because she still works in the White House. Maybe her lawyer is trying to dispel the idea that she did the President damage with her testimony.
