Cisco is certainly a concern, but the 3800 is nothing short of an
disaster for them so far

How do you justify this? Based on what?

The people you left out who are the greater threats, IMHO, are 3Com with the products from the OnStream acquisition

Not actively marketing this product

, Nortel

Absolutely,

ADC/Kentrox

Current products don't cut it but are they building the next generation,

Xylan

C'mon... small issue of price points...let alone performance

and a host of venture-backed start-ups

Yes, something to watch for. Mariposa is vapor ware... nonetheless start-ups will be interesting..but will be acqusition targets.

GDC/Sahara

Give me a break!!! This guys are out of business this time next year... or possibly acquired

Digital Link

Didn't Yuri buy these guys?

Geof, You make some good points. There's a lot of competition coming into the market and I think this represents a major challenge for Yuri. However, I think you and I have different perspectives on the strengths of the players. I certainly think you're underestimating Cisco's play, the 3800, and their overall strategy to dominate the data/voice integration market. Cisco's not a company I would underestimate.
