Julius- I would be interested in you thoughts. Earnings for '97 are estimated at approx. 1.57 and declining in 1998 to less than $1., the article you posted suggested further earnings decline in 1999. Add to this the currency risk. Now I start wondering - what is going to continue to move the stock. During 1997 the potential of restructuring the petrochemical industry and the potential asset injections made the stock jump. I suspect that the government is under great pressure now to implement this restructuring and, with the financial markets down, have less flexibility than before, suggesting asset injections on a more favorable basis.

What else do you see currently that would cause you to buy the stock.

I currently own BYH.
