I don't know his exact age but it's between 55 and 59.

The objective is 20% dividend growth per year so the CEF's are purchased to support that objective. Once the income goal is achieved I can go for more capital growth potential, but if the income objective isn't achieved the retirement peace of mind isn't there.

As far as losing capital, that's not something we can focus on as we have no control over that, I can control the income level and as long as the income is there, we can be patient and wait for those capital losses to turn back into capital gains.
