Alexis, this is all coming up because A/W is releasing Maya in the next few weeks, and 8000 seats are going to be getting a product that takes advantage of SGI hardware for the first time. Alias never really used the hardware. to some, $4.5K is not so much, but to others, it can be a barrier to satisfaction. issues like this are what have to be addressed for SGI's market to expand. some folks are price sensative.
