Respond to of 97950 We've been running warmer than usual generally. Mid 60s mostly but had 2 days in the mid 70s last week. The last 2 days, we were cold (30s) but we're warming up again and will be 70s Thursday or Friday. Robert, I saw your conversation about old posters on another thread. Joan and many of them moved to my site along with many of the others when SI got sold and went downhill for a while. We had a great group of some of the finest from here. Unfortunately, I retired from the military and got overloaded with civilian job, new house in city, getting the country place going, getting remarried etc and just let the website die. By then, SI came back to life so it wasn't worth the effort to bring my site back to life. Short version, Joan, Challo, Donald etc were all still going as of 2010. I talked to Donald probably 6 months ago. Joan would be pushing 90 so I have to wonder about her. She always had the best picks. As for the market, it always seems to surprise me with it's strength but until it proves me wrong, I think we're stuck in a sideways range. That sideways fork I had mentioned we bounced off the middle tine has us already near the top tine. This is only on the SPX, DJI, R2K. NDX/NASDAQ is still an upsloping channel so it has more upside potential possibly though the valuations don't support it (but since when have archaic valuation models mattered). I was checking the Fed balance sheet last night and it says it climbed but their chart shows a decline so I'm confused. Funny thing is their chart decline almost matches the market pullback before the recent big bounce. After chart loads, change timeframe to 3 months... federalreserve.gov
