Again, there is an SAP thread at SI.

SAP shares are purchased here in the US as ADR's (American Depository Receipts) symbol: SAPHY. The price of the ADR is based on the following formula: take the German preferred share price, convert from DM to USD, divide by 3. Now the price does vary slightly from this due to supply and demand and the fact that the ADR's are traded during US hours while the stock is traded in Germany during their hours.
