Interesting you would connect me to this band, a group I never heard of until ran into them here. The song is okay, I think my initial impression stands, a joke band with some musical and showmanship talent and no vision. Maybe a lack of discipline or confidence. Maybe they just like the "practical joker" aspect of the way they set their music up.

They start with some dumb old boring shit and then do freak out in the middle, seems to be their thing. Someone like Stevie Ray or Hendrix (for example, not a fan but a well known guitarist) just launches into the song, pulling off their shtick for the duration. Grateful Dead, did what they did and kept right on didding it.

This is more to my taste.

Edit: Should have said more to my taste way back when.

I'm kind of fond of this guy these days.

I wanted to correct my characterization, a gimmick band might have been better. Not that there's anything wrong with gimmicks, that's some of what makes entertainment. Their gimmick seems to be the musical practical joke.

Speaking of entertainment, I ran into this group a couple of years ago. Watched one concert all the way through, a year passed and I ran into them again and watch another. I mention it because I had the same reaction at the end, "Well, that's enough of that" clear as a bell. Like I had some sensory need that was satiated by the emersion in the spectacle. Enjoyed the experience although I may not repeat it.
