I watched the QVC show from space selling their $32 space pens and $25,000 Russian space suit. A bit of a hoot. They spent most of the time trying to get the astronauts on Mir to just write "Q V C" on a blank board, just to prove that the pen works in space. It reminded me more of a Saturday Night Live skit. After much yammering back and forth they finally did. Phew. Detente pays a dividend.
