If that is your timeframe, then these fluctuations are just surface noise and you could buy it right here. I'll be surprised if it breaks 48. Regardless, between here and wherever the bottom will be is your average down zone. But I assume that you want a little more confidence. Then wait for the chart I sent you to print a green bar. That should be your cue.

Unless you're very old, I would never plan on owning anything forever. Times change too much in just decades. My generation never thought Sears, JC Penney or Kmart would disappear. In the 90s, GE was the must own stock. AT&T was a safe play. I like energy and Suntzu likes uranium but if Fision is perfected like it has been going recently, all other forms of electrical generation, including solar and wind will be obsolete. Technology is accelerating. Who knows what the next few decades will bring. We might all have 3D printers in our homes with various "ingredients" prestocked so you just print anything you need. If the animal rights, antifarm liberals get their way, we might even be printing our food like in SciFi movies. Stores and factories could become obsolete. Just the 3D printer makers and refiners of the materials. I just stole this from a tweet in the last few days that kind of demonstrates my point...
