Re: Portfolio Management - Middle Age Portfolio.

>> So I guess my one question for today is why you elected to sell PG from the MAP and elected to hold KMB. <<

I chose to keep KMB over PG strictly based on yield and time, time being the most critical. I have just two more years to establish the income level for retirement so I needed more income now.

If I had more time, I would have kept half of the PG position and sell half of the KMB position look elsewhere for more income growth and potential capital gain, something I will do in the Young Folk Portfolio in January. I need time for income growth and capital growth to materialize and time is something the Young Folk Portfolio has but the Middle Age Portfolio doesn't.

Another move I made was to sell VZ for TU which provided better dividend growth and capital growth potential.

I would have done it differently in retrospect. I should have kept half of VZ, buy half in TU and then build TU going forward.

>> Also, as an FYI...I kinda like it over here. Not as much noise. Makes it easier to focus and really learn something. <<

BINGO!

Now you know the primary reason I declined to keep the community together when I was asked to by SA. I didn't want to keep the community together. I believed that like minds would follow like minds and in doing so this would eliminate a lot of the noise one had to wade through over there thus allowing us an opportunity to do what we do even better.
