Without a doubt Cathy Wood is brilliant. But Elon is brilliant too. Yet Musk is just as likely, perhaps more likely to ruin something than fix it. His success lies with the critical mass behind him and a few home runs that carry him through. Wood is the same way.

I don't have a problem with taking a high failure post-ipo VC route. But for many things such as ZM, I've come to sense a rigidity and blindness to risks and alternative scenarios that I cannot accept. Should ZM even overtake its former highs, let alone become a star over the next 5 years, I will gracefully bow to her and never doubt her again. But for now, she seems to more insane and genius.
