Among the steps that Gelsinger is taking is investing more than $100 billion in chip plants in order to make chips for other semiconductor companies

I dunno - I haven't paid close attention to INTC for a while but one of their big problems has been the ability to manufacture chips. They are late with product launches and have had quality control issues. To me INTC should look at contracting with someone else to build for them, not try to get into building them for other companies. I'm sure that would strike at the core of the company but failure to deliver is a major reason why NVDA and AMD have been gobbling up market share.
