I expect these sectors to outperform in 2022: Utilities, consumer defensive, healthcare, REITs, Information Technology and to a lesser extent , consumer cyclical. I would avoid cyclicals and small capitalization stocks.

2022 will be a difficult year for stocks in an environment where the Fed will be raising rates. There is the risk that Powell and Company will go to far raising rates, causing all kinds of volatility in stocks. I expect bond yields to be steady to slightly lower.

I expect SPLV to outperform SPX.

After the 10% correction in stocks in the first half of the year, I would get a bit more aggressive. Timing and stock picking will be of the utmost importance.

SPX will be flat to slightly higher/lower for the year. IWM will be down.

A good stock picker who is in the right sectors will do decent, about 10%-15%.

Expect volatility to pick up measureably in 2022. A good hedger in the right sectors can make up to 20% in 2022.
