Hi Arun,

Ah, a fellow history statistics buff. Yes 1930's. The car accident/injury/death statistics in the 1930's were about the same then as they are today in the UK. Only there were far fewer cars on the roads back then. Amongst one thing and another, safety was not as good then as it today. Seatbelts were not mandated, and it was only in the 1930's did they realize it was good to put up speed limits in towns of 30mph.

But this is all a digression as you know. Maybe you missed the subelty of the source for the graph I selected in that post.? Let me enlighten anyone who missed it.
