Gary--

You do have some valid points, however, some of the loss today is simply profit taking. The stock was trading at 20 last week Friday.

I try to be as objective as possible and the increased margins and revenue growth in Q4 compared to Q3 I still see as a plus. Didn't get a chance to listen to the entire conference call though, which I may have some time to do this weekend. Things that were said may be in the conf. call may be the reason for the drop.

Gary,
You are so rediculously overconfident it's not funny. YOU of all people are going to sit there and lecture everyone here about not getting too married to a stock?? You have that arrogant air of someone who's headed for a fall. You are right, Cisco is a GREAT company.....and it's easy for you to sit on your high horse and preach to everybody about how to invest. But it's talk like this from guys like you that make me take a look at shorting the mighty Cisco. Cisco deserves credit for being one of the all time greatest 6 year olds ever, if not the greatest. But they face enormous challenges. Virtually every other company in their space has been pummelled in the last year or so. They have escaped such a fait so far, and to their credit, they were quick to adopt a direct on-line ordering business model for their customer base. This enabled them to cut their costs tremendously at a time when prices and margins were tumbling in the industry. Thus they dodged a bullet. But they are not out of the woods yet. They still have a huge installed base of routers that are in a word....obsolete. Their routers are a large cause of the limited availability of bandwidth existing today. They have tried to adapt a model of using their tremendous capital to buy into every possible technology that's a possible upgrade...and so far have not been able to really incorporate it fully into the Cisco family of products..."Tag Switching" has not worked, the BFR will never work, even tho it's been "coming" for 2 years now. Everybody else in the industry is adopting efficient distribution systems now too. Margins are going to continue to shrink. LAN's for all intents and purposes will be obsolete within 3 years, replaced by copper based technologies like DSL, and life is gonna get real tough for the mighty Cisco. Don't forget it. Also, Don't forget this, John Chambers has snatched defeat from the jaws of victory before. He's been involved with major flops at IBM and Lotus. He's been lucky to get in front of the router wave...now's when we'll find out if he won't lose it once again. In summary, Cisco's day is coming pal...and I hope someone is as arrogant to you as you are here when that happens. As "married" as you are, to the stock, you'll experience some pain and become a mere mortal like the rest of us...Tek
