Hey Wharfie, what's your opinion on Kamala Harris? Personally I find it a bit of a surprise that she is underperforming. Yes, her campaign for the Dem nomination was a complete disaster. Yes, she was obviously chosen because of her race and gender. On the other hand, she was a San Francisco district attorney for seven years, and after that, California attorney general for six years. I don't recall her being a train wreck here, but who knows? Maybe the California bureaucracy is so messed up that no one would notice how bad she was. Of course, she got her start in local politics after sleeping with Willie Brown, but I don't think that relationship alone carried her all the way to the top. She had to have SOME measure of competence at her job. And quite frankly, her resume looked a LOT better than Obama's back when he first ran for president. Tenchusatsu
