Re: Personal chit chat - Covid boosters.

Congratulations. As you know my family is boosted. My daughter's fiance got the one JNJ (actually Jansen) shot in the Spring. He got boosted the day before Thanksgiving with a full dose of Moderna (not the half dose booster), while my daughter who was vaxxed with Moderna got the 1/2 dose Moderna booster. Needless to say, she was fine but he was a little worse for the wear two days after his full dose Moderna "booster".

Life goes on.

Got mine two weeks from now come Thursday. Walgreens. Interestingly, insurance there wouldn't accept me for the flu shot. Need to remember some time when I'm at Kroger.

That same night I got put in COVID jail. Got an e-mail around 5 p.m. that a co-presenter from a conference I was at on Tuesday had it. Was taking Friday off so I could finish up my Christmas shopping without fighting the weekend crowds. No go, even though CDC allows vaccinated people to get out until receiving a positive result. Got the negative test result - technically "not detected" Saturday night.

We were masked the whole time at the conference which may have helped. I'm also not sure we "technically" were within 6 feet of each other for 15 minutes. As soon as our portion of the session ended I went out to return a call from the office and while we spoke we moved around. But it was close enough that I wasn't taking chances.
