Micron chief executive Steve Appleton says U.S. policies and the International Monetary Fund's bailout of Korea are being used unfairly by the financially troubled Asian nation's tech industries.

The Micron Technology chairman told a House Banking Committee this week that the Korean government has announced plans to set up a special fund to promote exports -- which he said not only was counter to the IMF terms, but also contrary to World Trade Organization rules.

The last trade on the NYSE for MU was 117,800 at the ask price of 36.
