High Winds, Heavy Rain Pound Bay Area

The National Weather Service says a flash flood watch is continuing
for the entire San Francisco Bay region south to Monterey and San
Benito counties as another Pacific storm moves ashore.

The Santa Clara County Office of Emergency Services says about 100
trees and 88 wires have been downed due to the combination of high
winds and heavy rain.

Three hundred students at East Palo Alto Charter School have been
evacuated due to flooding in the area.

Although the brunt of the latest storm appears to have passed, even
light rains could trigger mudslides in the rain-soaked soil and
flooding in small streams and creeks.

Complete storm coverage throughout the day on KNTV, The San Jose
News Channel.
