Afaq: here are my notes from one of my discussions with a VAR who has recently started marketing the IQX-200. He specializes in RAS equipment.

What do you think about the IQX-200?
Likes it a lot. It offers a lot more flexibility than competing products at a very competitive price.

What are it's advantages over the competition?
Open architecture allows easy upgradability and allows users to easily reconfigure system to meet the "new flavor of the month" in protocols. Competing products will result in a "forklift upgrade" as it relates to diversity and scalability. Osciom's product allows for an upgrade on a modular basis.

Features distributed processing power... Osicom's IQX has the most robust processor & ASIC offering.

What are the competing products cost of ownership?
$255 per port vs FIBR $200 - 245

Do you have interested customers for the IQX?
Yes, one ISP is currently evaluating/using it with 1 T-1 board and has had no problems to date.
He has recently sold 2 boxes in the last week, each with 3 T-1 slots (~$15k each)

What kind of market share do you think this product can capture?
He thinks it can be a very successful product and it offers a lot of features for the $$ (afterthought: he never really answered my question)

What about people who haven't heard of Osicom before? Aren't they a little gunshy about using a name that many haven't heard of before?
People in the telephony industry have heard of Cray Communications and they know that Rockwell's technology is solid. Put those 2 together and people become more comfortable.

Have you used other FIBR products before?
They used to have a Ethernet switch and they sold it to INTC. They loved it. Now he has heard that they will be introducing a new one soon and he is looking forward to it. He has never had any problems with Osicom products and their customer service is excellent. We installed a Routermate about 1 1/2 years ago. "We haven't had a single problem with it since installation".

As far as earnings are concerned, I expect $.10, give or take $.02

As far as Gigamux evaluators I have conversed with.... lets just say I am very happy with what I have heard so far. Perhaps details will come the next time the shorts try to shake up this board a little. I have put a lot of effort in tracking down my findings and am not so eager to divulge my research at this time, as I would personally like to wait until the shorts appear again. Call me selfish, call it revenge, call it what you want. I will say this... anyone who says Osicom is making "vaporware" is sadly misleading you based on my findings.

They've got the products... now it's time to execute!
