There is an incredible amount of information on the SSD site. The special dividend error was fixed in less than 24 hours. I visit the site literally every single day. Theres no way I could keep up with stocks without it.

In fairness to SSD, They rate and report on dividend stocks. They provide limited CEF coverage and no ratings. So there is that.

SSD, Fidelity, FastGraphs, and others, source their data from data providers. They are the ones that often report special distributions wrong and I not sure it is their fault. The difficult part is when the special isn't a separate payment, but rather lumped together with the regular distribution.

When creating the Distribution Streak spreadsheet, it was difficult distinguishing specials from regular distributions and I often had to resort to multiple sources. The fund web sites often didn't go back far enough to help.
