There seems to be a regional seasonality to Covid. Swings up in summer in the South, swings up in winter in the North.
It spreads indoors. The south is inside in the summer to escape the heat, outside in winter. North is opposite.

Yes, and it just blows holes in all the "science" about mask wearing, vaccine effectiveness, and the usefulness of various mechanisms to fight it.

It is really weird to me just how unscientific it all became when the virus didn't behave in the manner they thought it should. Rather than behaving like a cool, calm Sully landing on the Hudson, the American scientists lined up behind their thought leaders and proceeded to totally lose their shit like Mammy when Scarlet's having the baby. It was embarrassing, but it was happening throughout most of the world.

That the panic was forced into much of the practicing medical community is still bizarre to me.

These were the most calm, cool and collected people in society short of maybe Special Forces operators. But the news media made them look like they were paralyzed with fear, which wasn't the case I'm certain.

Looks to me to be a total lack of preparedness amongst some our fundamental institutions.

I came in last night and turned on the television just as a stern looking woman began announcing a Level 3 alert, turned out it was for a Omicron blizzard that is apparently gaining strength just outside my house.

I was genuinely worried for a moment, I don't know how they can continue on with this Covid narrative without bursting out laughing.

I would guess lack of vitamin D in both cases. Folks stay inside in the winter in the North, and inside in the summer in the south.
