[Wireless base stations] ECAC -- Thanks for posting the LU press quote. I spent a fairly long time with the guy from Metricom and came away amazed at what that company's doing. I'm actually hesitant to invest in them b/c of the enormous cost of infrastructure and how long it'll take before they're in the black. Paul Allen is one of their biggest supporters and I believe has already said he's increasing his stake to 46% I think from 19%. I could be off, but it's definitely a considerable increase. They're actually advertising their service is "portable" not "mobile." Meaning, it's better to be standing still when you access large amounts of data via wireless. It works for voice and email, but if you want to download a file while moving, you'll run into problems. At any rate, there's a market for base stations and that's one of Spectrum's aces. Later -- Pat
