Had that happen more times than I care to admit... I think the worst was a THING called TCHP (Telechips). It was SmC when I bought it for 1.125 (10,000 shares). It waffled for a spell, then rallied to about 1.60, where I sold it for a tidy profit, then it dropped back to around .87 and I snapped up another 15,000 using the gains from the previous sale. From there it was all down hill, until one morning I noticed it had gone thru the ceiling to around 2.25 !!! "WOW!", I thought... condo in Florida! It had bottomed out at around .15 and stayed there for months. I put it on the back burner and even bought another $5000 worth on the hedge that it would average out one day. The night before it ran up, I had about 60,000 shares at an average of around .45 so I was very pleased indeed to see it was up to over $2! Only problem was that it had just done a 25/1 reverse and all I had in the box was around 2400 shares! Needless to say, I sold it off for enough to buy a new monitor and a box of bandaids... I can usually brag up that I'm ahead of the game with a turkey like CRTM, but I decidedly took a bath in TCHP. I'm still holding out that UVEW will run up again before the split <tightly crossed fingers>.
