Alaska's people and politicians here are all over the map wrt to covid, so it's impossible to have the sort of decisive action you get in China and Hong Kong. So about half of the population is getting vaccinated, and the other half is getting "natural immunity". State government revenues have been very low in recent years due to low oil prices, but higher oil prices and great investment returns from the Permanent Fund are helping now. Pandemic air cargo traffic has been high, but tourism is way down.
