Stan, if Leeb published that newsletter when the stock was at $27, I guess he's looking pretty good right now.

IMO, those guys are almost as worthless as analysts. Once in a while, they're right. But you never hear about when they're wrong, do you?

Leeb has some good ideas, but i've never seen a report of his that was positive on IOM even while it was going up. KE has the ability to create a fast growing company from practically nothing (witness his past performance with prior companies), but KE has never run a multi-billion $$ company. So, for KE, this is his first shot to produce from this level. Leeb is betting he won't succeed.

RE: Who is Stephen Leeb?

It looks like he's an author (The Agile Investor : Profiting from the End of Buy and Hold) who believes that the stock market is going to crash or hold steady for the next 10-15 years:

It's not surprising to see him bearish about ANY stock, if that's the case.

Oh, and his Bio from the link above:

Stephen Leeb is the editor of Personal Finance and The Big Picture, investment advisory publications with over 140,000 in total circulation, and president of Money Growth, Inc., an investment advisor. Leeb is the author of the acclaimed Getting In On The Ground Floor, which accurately forecasted the bull market of the '80s and '90s, and Market Timing for the Nineties (HarperBusiness). He has been a guest on CNN, CNBC, PBS's "Wall Street Week," and other shows. He lives in New York City.

This guy appeared frequently on CNBC as a guest analyst. Something happen, not sure of the details, but it appeared to be some legal or ethical issue. CNBC announced that Leeb would no longer be appearing on CNBC. Not sure I would place much weight on his recommendations.

Leeb is a phd stock guru who got jammed up with some regulatory agency
over something to do with stocks. He paid a fine and there was bad
publicity and he could no longer continue as a media whore. Many of
these tv types are just that. I have seen his newsletter. Okay I guess,
I know he was touting nbr at 15 and it ran to 43. He is still touting
it at 25 or so. go figure.
