For perspective there are many countries with >80% of their population vaccinated and >90% of their highest risk boosted.

Most of the countries that have a higher percentage of vaccinated people are far smaller than the US. And it is likely that they don't have as rabid a group of people who have been mentally vaccinated against COVID vaccinations.
