The statistics are such that it is almost impossible to know if the vaccine is truly decreasing mortality. I do not know. It could be. That is unusual as it does not prevent the virus nor decrease viral loads. Again over the age of 65 I would assume the VAX has some potential benefits. On the other hand if you are not positive it decreases mortality there is less and less reason to use it as people get younger.
