Agree. That’s very possible. We live in the biosphere, in a real biological “soup”. They estimate that microorganisms living inside us outnumber the cells in our bodies. They think that mitochondria - the tiny organelles inside cells responsible for energy production - descend from microorganisms. It’s almost hard to imagine that viruses - tiny chunks of DNA or RNA that keep entering our cells - wouldn’t in some way become part of us.
