I quit reading after the piece declared " CYBERCASH is the authors’ belief that the emergence of cryptography in conjunction with the borderless jurisdiction of cyberspace was poised to drastically alter the logic of violence, and therefore shift the balance of power from the state to the individual." What a whopper! Does anyone here feel they have more individual power now than they had in 1997? Since 1997 when the book was written the individual has lost to the state innumerable personal powers and the state has become more powerful.
