No, my trim of JNJ had nothing to do with the upcoming split.

It had to do with taking a portion of the gains and increasing income with those proceeds. JNJ is still a full weight position.

I sold out completely the JNJ position in the Middle Age Portfolio. When I was told that person wanted to move their retirement date up, I had to aggressively build the income flow and JNJ didn't have the yield or dividend growth to meet that objective in the time frame I have to work with.

In the Young Folk Portfolio, JNJ is one of those companies I wish to continue building in size and my current thought process is to let it grow to be as large of a position as it wants to.
