There is not much to do about a variant like omicron except get as many people as possible properly vaccinated and continue to exercise the usual tactics against infectious diseases: testing, masking, social distancing, limit indoor gatherings, contact tracing, quarantining where warranted. Of course, what you can do now is quote me as saying "There is not much to do about a variant like omicron". That would be exactly like quoting Biden as saying: "Look, there is no federal solution." See how that works? Context matters.
