Unfortunately Omicron may lead to the same number of deaths per day as Delta, Highly doubtful considering the data so far suggesting nearly no one dies from Omicron. Omicron will end up infecting more people. In a way I hope so - get this world to herd immunity asap with this live vaccine variant. It appears to be the variant to get and will get since even Germany's research indicates the vaccine does nothing at all to stop this variant. The real question in my mind - does this variant, once you've had it, provide actual protection against the delta and other variants - or is it completely different? Do you think any pharmaceutical will bother doing the research and why wouldn't they (i wonder). The end of the covid fear porn is coming to a halt very soon.
