I didn't know MSFT 'sold' the hardware boxes, here I thought that Intel made 'motherboards' and DELL, Gateway, Compaq ( and a 'bunch' of others ) assembled the systems, choosing Windows as the operating system by 'popular' request! Maybe it's the fact that Intel and MSFT 'talk' about where the industry is 'going', like getting ideas from 'each other'! ( That surely must be 'against' the DOJ somehow! ) Yes-sir-re, I see that IBM has been replaced at Radio Shack by Compaq! I'm sure glad that the software is the same, (whoever's it is), at least I don't have to support all types! No, I don't support MAC or OS2! No I don't know which one is better! I support MSFT because I USE IT, and that is enough work!

Whether IBM would lose or not, they still have a 'pretty' good arm twisting when integrating to their 'mainframes'. I can see it now, "Well, Mr. Customer, while our mainframe works fine with our workstations, I can't be sure that Windows (version) is compatible! I wouldn't recommend it! Let me know about our $1.5M deal, won't you!" No arm twistng there!

I wonder how much power it takes to 'cool' a 1GHz processor? Liquid Nitrogen ought to do it!

Thought?
