ATHM was formed by 3 cable companies specifically to provide a backbone for the internet access. What they have now is as follows..... access to roughly 75% of the U.S. cable subscribers (the 3 cable companies that formed the company initially)..they will provide the modems on both ends and of course be the dedicated service provider of the high-speed service....Pretty neat arrangement, huh? I haven't looked at the financials since last summer.....I only glanced at them then.....I have a report on ATHM somewhere around here....The business model looks interesting but I am not sure about the penetration the companies will achieve....I will try and look at the financials soon.....
