David or anyone,

I am curious about:
1) Display Postscript
2) Postscript level 3
Can anyone tell me what features they have that are lacking in current technology? The differences between 1 & 2? Or can anyone recommend web pages with such information. Competing technology?

By the way, I'm a design student at UCLA. I use all sorts of imaging software. I have many complaints about software design, but I think Adobe products are pretty damn good, hard to beat. Good interfaces, and when their products are updated, the updates are intelligent and useful. I plan to buy a suite of their products when I graduate. Pagemaker is almost as good as Quark at 1/2 the price. Photoshop is the best software out there. Illustrator's upgrade made sense. Good basic web tools. Premeire and After Effects are unbeatable at the price. The products are well integrated, and integrate well with other imaging software.

They lack interactive software.

Macromedia, has of course, fairly good interactive and interactive web authoring tools, but terrible upgrades, and frustratingly stupid design flaws. The new interface in Director 6 does little to speed workflow, and one must relearn a bunch of stuff for no logical reason that I can see.

Thanks in advance
Doren
