Look, I am a huge Musk fanboy. One of the biggest, But one thing that differentiates me from the Noodles of the world is that I don't think anyone is above criticism. Musk certainly isn't. To what should surprise no one, he is against anything that interferes with his vision. Sometimes he is right. Like opposing California wanting to cut the advantages of rooftop solar. I understand the state's POV. But they need to find other ways to do it. Sometimes Musk is wrong, opposing the BBB EV charging is one of those times. A stumbling block to widespread adoption of EVs is the lack of charging points in many areas. The auto industry is ready to throw in the towel on ICEs, but they run the risk of offering EVs with insufficient charge points. Private industry is waiting for there to be enough EVs to make economic sense to make them available. And that is a formula for slow growth. Gasoline stations initially grew as as an adjunct to offering car service and repair. And that didn't really decouple until the 1970s. EVs can't do that for a number of reasons, not the least of which is the lower need for service and repairs.
