If the violence had been staged by Dems, Trump would have quickly called for it to end. Maybe even called out the national guard to suppress it. But he knew it was his people.

Exactly. He might even followed Flynn's suggestion. Plus his final message--"We love you"--would have been very different. It will be interesting to see what the first two iterations of the message were.
